Welcome to The Chosen Project.
The Chosen Project was born from my own adoption story and a desire to make a difference. As an adoptee, I have made it my life's mission to raise awareness about adoption and foster care while helping others better understand the journey many children and families experience. The Chosen Project is a nonprofit organization dedicated to educating, encouraging, and supporting children and families involved in adoption and foster care.
Originally incorporated in Mississippi, our mission is now expanding nationwide through partnerships with ministries, agencies, and organizations that share the same goal: helping children find safe, loving, and permanent homes.
We believe education and community can change lives. Through storytelling, social media, community outreach, and fundraising, The Chosen Project provides resources, encouragement and financial support to families navigating the adoption and foster care process. We believe that every family with the heart to adopt or foster should have the opportunity to do so without barriers.
Whether you're an adoptive family, a foster parent, someone whose life has been touched by adoption or simply someone who wants to make a difference, there's a place for you in The Chosen Project.

Adoption is the legal process of creating a permanent parent-child relationship between a child and an adoptive family. Once an adoption is finalized, the adoptive parents have the same legal rights and responsibilities as if the child had been born to them.
Every adoption story is unique. Some children are adopted as newborns through private or agency adoptions, while others find permanent families after spending time in foster care. Adoption can also occur through relative (kinship) adoptions, international adoptions, or stepparent adoptions.
