My name is Celeste Lay, I currently work as the weekday morning news anchor for KSLA News 12, keeping the Ark‑La‑Tex informed with the latest community stories and breaking news. I am also the lead reporter for our coverage on foster care and adoption. In my community I am a volunteer for Unite Ministries as well as a CASA Volunteer. I also participate in my church's Sunday choir. I have loved living life in Shreveport and meeting wonderful friends!
I graduated from The University of Mississippi with a degree in Multi-media Journalism and a minor in Hospitality Management. I was involved with Chi Omega sorority, Student Activity Association, NewsWatch Ole Miss and Secretary for the School of Journalism and New Media.
I was born in Dallas, Texas and adopted at 48 hours old. From then on, I have been raised in a Christian home and attended Prestonwood Christian Academy for eight years. During my second year of high school, I transferred to Tyler Legacy High School (FKA Robert E. Lee High School) where I participated in Drill Team, Varsity Choir, Varsity Musical Theater and other various student lead organizations.
I am a part of pageantry and community service. As a title holder, we are encouraged to have a community service initiative that we are passionate about educating others on. My initiative is "The Chosen Project".
Thank you for taking time and getting to know me! If you'd like to connect, follow me on my socials or send me a message through my website!
